আমার মা

জড়ায়ে মায়ের গলা শিশু কহে আসি,- “মা, তোমারে কত ভালোবাসি!” “কত ভালবাস ধন?” জননী শুধায়। “এ-ত।” বলি দুই হাত প্রসারি’ দেখায়। “তুমি মা আমারে ভালবাস কতখানি?” মা বলেন “মাপ তার আমি নাহি জানি।” “তবু কতখানি, বল।” “যতখানি ধরে তোমার মায়ের বুকে।” “নহে তার পরে?” “তার বাড়া ভালবাসা পারি না বাসিতে।” “আমি পারি।” বলে শিশু হাসিতে হাসিতে!
